Project 03: Living Room Addition

.As you enter the addition space you can enter through the kitchen or the dining room. This double entry gives the family optimal flow no matter where people enter the space from. A couch and coffee table around a fireplace creates an intimate space for the family to gather around to watch tv, play games, or just relax. Behind the couch there is a seating area that can be used as a reading space or additional seating. The furniture in the reading area can also be moved if open floor space is needed for activities. Large windows throughout the space let in lots of sunlight and show views of the backyard. The furniture in the reading area can also be moved if open floor space is needed for activities. On either side of the fire place there is space for both of the dogs to enjoy themselves and soak in some sunlight as well. A clear pathway to the outside door allows people to walk through the space without obstructing the views of people within the space. This also allows for easy access to the backyard. The built-in shelving and table gives the family plenty of storage that can be tucked away and out of sight when it needs to be. Lighter colors create a bright and airy space for the family to gather on a daily basis.
